How the cycle usually runs
  • SBI runs one Junior Associates (clerk) recruitment a year. The last two were notified in early August, with prelims in September and mains in November.
  • The month is not fixed. Earlier cycles were notified in September 2022, November 2023 and December 2024; the 2024 cycle had prelims in February-March 2025 and mains on 10 and 12 April 2025.
  • Age is counted as on 1 April of the notification year, and you must have your degree by 31 December of that year (2025 and 2026 notifications).
  • In the 2025 cycle the prelims result came about five weeks after the exam and the mains result about three months after the mains.
  • SBI sometimes runs a separate special drive for SC/ST/OBC backlog posts alongside the regular recruitment, with its own exam dates.
  • 'Confirmed' means an official SBI or IBPS notice, or several reliable reports, give the date. 'Tentative' means SBI or IBPS gave the date as tentative. 'Expected' is our own estimate from past cycles, not an announcement.
  • SBI now publishes notices at https://sbi.bank.in/web/careers/current-openings. Always check there before you plan around a date.
