Five: a full Prelims mock (100 questions, 60 minutes), a full Mains mock (190 questions, 200 marks, 160 minutes), a 30-question mini mock, a sectional test for any one section, and a custom test built from topics you choose.
Each test type has a different job. All of them use 0.25 negative marking and give full solutions after you submit.
The five test types
| Test | Questions | Time | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Prelims mock | 100 (English 30, Numerical 35, Reasoning 35) | 60 min, 20 per section | Exam rehearsal |
| Mains mock | 190 for 200 marks (GA 50, English 40, Quant 50, Reasoning and Computer 50) | 160 min (35/35/45/45) | Mains stamina and GA check |
| Mini mock | 30 (10 from each Prelims section) | 21 min, 7 per section | A quick check on a busy day |
| Sectional test | One Prelims or Mains section at full length | That section's time | Fixing one weak section |
| Custom test | 5-100, from topics you pick | 5-180 min, your choice | Revising specific topics under time |
How questions are chosen
Each new mock prefers questions you have not seen before. Reading comprehension and puzzle sets are kept together, so you get the full passage or arrangement with all its questions, as in the exam.
Sectional timing
Full mocks have a separate timer for each section by default, matching the real exam. You can turn this off to use one shared clock, which is useful only for experiments. Custom tests always use one clock.
A suggested mix
- Learning phase: sectional and custom tests, 3-4 a week
- Six to three weeks before Prelims: 2-4 Prelims mocks a week
- Last two weeks: one Prelims mock a day
- Between Prelims and Mains: Mains mock weekly, GA sectionals in between
Resuming and reviewing
Every test you start appears under "Your tests" on the Mocks page. Unfinished ones show "In progress" with a Resume link. Submitted ones link to the result, the section-wise breakdown and full solutions, where you can filter to see only wrong or skipped questions.
