Not in the 30 topics that have question generators, such as simplification, approximation, series, quadratics, DI, arithmetic, inequality and syllogism: new questions are created when you finish the bank. Other topics have fixed banks that grow over time.
For calculation and rule-based topics, practice does not run out. When you have answered every stored question in one of these topics in Mixed mode, the site generates fresh ones with new numbers and arrangements. The topic page says "New questions are generated when you finish this bank" where this applies.
Topics with generated questions
| Subject | Topics |
|---|---|
| Quant (21) | Simplification, approximation, number series, quadratic equations, data interpretation, percentage, ratio and proportion, average, profit and loss, simple interest, compound interest, time and work, pipes and cisterns, speed-distance-time, boats and streams, ages, mixture and alligation, partnership, mensuration, probability, permutation and combination |
| Reasoning (9) | Inequality, coded inequality, syllogism, alphanumeric series, coding-decoding, direction and distance, order and ranking, pair formation, alphabet test |
Topics with fixed banks
English, puzzles and seating, General Awareness and Computer Aptitude use written question banks. These need human judgement (a well-built RC passage, a fair puzzle, a verified fact), so they are not generated. When you finish a fixed bank at one level, you will see a message suggesting another difficulty or your mistakes.
Making the most of each topic
- Mixed: new questions of any level (and the mode that triggers fresh generated questions)
- Easy, Medium, Hard: one level at a time
- Revise all: includes questions you have already seen
- Redo mistakes: only your current wrong answers
How generated questions differ from bank questions
A generated question uses the same method as a written one, with new numbers or a new arrangement. Its step-by-step solution is produced along with the question, so the explanation always matches the numbers you see.
