The 2026 notification says that if the online transaction is not completed successfully, you should register again and make the payment online. If money was deducted without an e-receipt, raise a query on the helpdesk before the last date.
A failed payment is common near the last date. Here is what the SBI notification says and what you can do.
What the notification says
On successful completion of the transaction, an e-receipt and the application form with fee details are generated. If the online transaction is not successfully completed, the instruction is to register again and make the payment online.
Step by step
- Check whether it really failed. Log in with your registration number and password and see whether the fee status shows paid or whether an e-receipt can be printed.
- No e-receipt and no deduction: try again with another card or net banking, or register again as the notification instructs.
- Money deducted but no e-receipt: wait a short while and check your bank statement. Failed transactions are usually reversed to your account by the bank. Keep the transaction reference number.
- Raise a query: the helpdesk for problems with form filling, fee payment or call letters is telephone 022-22820427 (11 AM to 5 PM on bank working days) or the online grievance portal at cgrs.ibps.in. Mention "Recruitment of Junior Associate" and the year in the subject.
- Do not wait for the refund before re-applying if the window is closing. A completed application with a successful payment is what counts.
About multiple registrations
If you end up with more than one registration, only the last valid completed application is retained and the fee paid for the others is forfeited. That is the cost of fixing a failed payment by re-registering, so check the status first.
Transaction charges
Any transaction charges for online payment are borne by the candidate, and the fee itself is non-refundable once paid.
