What should I write in the SBI Clerk handwritten declaration and what size should it be?

The handwritten declaration is a short statement you write in your own handwriting confirming that your details are correct. It must be written in English, clearly, in black ink on white paper.

Copy this text exactly, filling in your name and date of birth:

"I, ______ (Name of the candidate), Date of Birth ______, hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required. The signature, photograph and left thumb impression is of mine".

Common reasons for rejection

• Capital letters: a declaration written in capital letters is not accepted. Write in normal running or print handwriting with upper and lower case.
• Someone else's handwriting: the declaration must be written by you.
• Typed text: a typed or printed declaration is not a handwritten declaration.
• Unclear scan: a smudged or faint image can lead to rejection. Use a clean page and a dark pen.
• Wrong text: do not paraphrase. Use the wording printed in the notification you are applying under.

Practical tips

• Write on a plain white A4 sheet within a 10 cm x 5 cm box so the scan crops neatly.
• Keep your writing large enough to read after resizing.
• Preview after upload and re-upload before final submission if needed.
